How MetricWiz Works

There is no login portal or dashboard. MetricWiz lives entirely inside Data Studio.

MetricWiz is a Data Studio connector, not a standalone app. You access it by adding it as a data source inside your Data Studio reports. There is no separate website to log into.

Open Data Studio

Go to lookerstudio.google.com and open a report (or create a new one).

Add MetricWiz as a data source

Click Add data → search for MetricWiz in the partner connectors list → authorize with your Facebook account.

Build your report

Select your Ad Account, choose dimensions and metrics, and start building charts and tables. Your Facebook Ads data flows directly into Data Studio.

Email Mismatch Fix

This is the #1 reason for access issues — and the easiest to fix.

The most common problem: You paid with one email (Stripe) but you're logged into Data Studio with a different Google account. MetricWiz validates your license based on the email used in Data Studio.

How to fix it:

Check which Google account you're using in Data Studio

Look at your profile picture in the top-right corner of Data Studio. That's the email MetricWiz sees.

Check which email you used to pay

Look for the Stripe payment confirmation in your inbox. The email it was sent to is the one linked to your MetricWiz subscription.

Make them match

Either switch your Google account in Data Studio to match your Stripe email, or contact us and we'll update your subscription email.

Quick check: If you paid with john@company.com, make sure you're logged into Data Studio as john@company.com — not a personal Gmail account.

Facebook Connection Issues

Facebook tokens expire. Here's how to reconnect.

Facebook requires periodic reauthorization for security reasons. If your data stops updating or you see an error, you likely need to reconnect.

Edit the data source

In your Data Studio report, click the MetricWiz data source → Edit connection.

Reauthorize with Facebook

Click the Facebook authorization button. Log in and grant permissions again. Make sure you select the correct Ad Account.

Refresh the report

After reconnecting, click the menu (top right of your report) → Refresh data. Your data should start flowing again.

Common pitfall: If you manage multiple Facebook Business Manager accounts, make sure you're logged into the right one before reauthorizing. The wrong account will show the wrong (or no) Ad Accounts.

"Upgrade" Showing After Payment

You paid but MetricWiz still asks you to upgrade? Don't worry — this is a temporary cache issue.

This is normal. After paying, it can take 10–15 minutes for MetricWiz to recognize your subscription. Your subscription is active — the connector just hasn't updated yet.

How to force the update:

Wait 10–15 minutes

In most cases, this resolves on its own. Give it a few minutes before troubleshooting.

Force a data refresh

In your Data Studio report, click the menu (top right) → Refresh data. This forces the connector to recheck your subscription status.

Still not working? Add a temporary chart

Add any chart with a random dimension and metric. This forces Data Studio to revalidate the data source. Delete it after the issue resolves.

If the issue persists after an hour, it's likely an email mismatch instead. See Email Mismatch Fix above.
